St Mary’s
The graveyard at St Mary’s is closed except for the top (new) cemetery which is owned and managed by Northumberland County Council. The plans of unmarked graves were unfortunately destroyed by fire many years ago. We are therefore unable to help locate unmarked plots.
Some still-born babies / short-lived babies were buried along the main path on the left between the trees running from the church towards Storey Park Community Centre. No records are available at the church unless there is a headstone.
There are some Commonwealth War Graves at St Mary’s.
Records listed at Northumbrian Archives:
Morpeth, St. Mary. x.1583-1977. m.1583-1986. b.1583-1956
